Amazing tutor

Fantastic English and Writing Tutor
I would like to start by saying that in the 8 month time period that I worked with David, my writing skills, writing knowledge, and reading comprehension each got exponentially better. David is always excited to help you out with schoolwork and other assignments but never will do it for you, which leads to a constructive way of learning. He also has numerous resource sheets that contain valuable information about vocabulary, essay writing, and many more subtopics related to writing. Using these skills, we could see how I improved because every session we would do a quick-write activity, and I would receive constructive feedback on how to write better. Lastly, the activities were not boring, because many of these activities stemmed from books we would read together and in my case, we read Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. Every two sessions, we would read and discuss a chapter of the book, followed by a writing prompt about the chapter we read. In conclusion, I really liked the way the class was taught, and it worked out well for me because my English skills have improved.

David has been tutoring my 11 years old for about 9 month now. I have observed big improvement. She doesn’t struggle as much for ideas or content. She is more confident in writing. Great tutor working with my reluctant writer
David has done a great job working with my reluctant 5th grade writer. My son's school does not do a lot of writing (even at 5th grade) and has spent virtually no time studying grammar in the past two years. (Yes, I'm frustrated.) Trying to get him set over the summer so he can transition more easily to a new school. My son looks forward to his lessons and is making progress. Couldn't ask for more.

David has been tutoring English to my 9th grade son since August. My son never had an English tutor in the past. When the 9th grade began, the required readings and assignments became tougher than those in the middle school. David knows all the materials - The Odyssey, McBeth, etc- well and helps my son to understand better, and helps him brainstorm, formulate and create writing by discussion, and giving feedback and suggestions, making the lesson engaging and helpful. My son is willing to put hard work but the chemistry/relationship is important because the tutor must know how to talk with a teenage boy who is not readily expressive to everyone because of his age, but who can excel with the right kind of encouragement. He is respectful of my son's opinions and thoughts but at the same time provides the and always makes sure the lesson is there for him to succeed at school.
