Ana is a great tutor! She is very knowledgeable and able to organize the concepts behind the formulas in a way that my daughter can understand. She is patient and persistent reinforcing the lessons. We are very pleased.

Pluses and minuses.

On the minus side, Ana is the most expensive tutor we contacted and she was a little unprofessional. She was going to drive to our house for the lesson, but when she found out we were "only" needing one hour, she decided we were too far out and would meet us half way. Then, a few hours before our lesson, she wanted to move the lesson to a later time so that she could go out to dinner with a friend (to her credit, she did not move the time when I let her know that it would be inconvenient for my husband and son). On the plus side, my son liked her teaching style and felt that she was very knowledgeable about calculus and helpful. She covered all the material he was concerned about. He was a lot more confident about his cumulative final after the lesson and felt it was time well spent.

Hi, Firstly I'd like to say that working with your son was delightful and he was extremely smart as well as very easy to work with. He understood everything I said very quickly and it is always a pleasure to teach someone like him. I wanted to clarify, however, that I drove for one hour each way to meet with your son at the Starbucks near your house, and I typically do not drive that far to meet with someone for such a short period of time as it is not economically savvy. An hour is the shortest length for a tutoring appointment with me. I did not mean any disrespect in suggesting that we meet at the Starbucks, but I do have to be conscious of my time and its value. I hope you understand. The reason that I do charge more than other tutors is because I have a Master's degree in Mathematics and 7 years of experience teaching and tutoring. I understand that the price is high, but I always deliver a very high quality education and this is what I consider its value to be. It is completely understandable if you are uncomfortable with the price or disagree. I did try to alleviate the blow by staying an extra ten minutes free of charge. I very much so enjoyed working with your son and I hope you understand my situation as well. I wish you and your family a happy new year.

Saved my life in calculus. Teaches the material better than the professor. Also, can show you neat tricks to further your understand. Very patient if your a slow learner. Love her!

Ana is an excellent tutor. We asked for her assistance for my son a 6th grader. He transferred to a new school and was having trouble adjusting to the math curriculum. In his first six weeks of getting tutorial help from Miss Ana he improved his grade by 15 points! It was amazing. She was very professional but personable with my son. My son of course was not happy with having to receive tutoring but he warmed up to her soon enough. She made him feel comfortable with not understanding the subject. She patiently worked with him through the semester and we saw the improvement every report card. She is highly recommended. Diane

Anna is Awesome!

Anna is very patient, flexible with her schedule, and thorough in her explanations of the material. She does a good job of identifying and targeting your problem areas, and working through them until you become comfortable with the material. She is able to take difficult concepts and break them down into easy to understand bits of information, which makes the material seem far less daunting. Anna's help has been worth every penny!
